- 2 390x34 Front RB curved vane OE replacement rotor ring (Incl. hardware)
- 2 380x30 Rear RB curved vane OE replacement rotor ring (Incl. hardware)
- Rotors are directional (with RB's convergent curved vanes) vs. OE's non-directional (pillar vanes):
- RB iron rotors are alloyed iron vs. OE's regular iron:
- Disc surface (including the inner vanes) is coated with EDP vs. OE's plain surface:
- Weight saving: Our rotor rings save you ~2 lbs per rotor over stock.
- Disc surface is slotted vs. OE's drilled:
- Overall performance improvement and more durable than OE:
Assembled with RB's Surface Mount Replacement Rotor Ring (Re-use OE Hats):
NOTE:
These OE rotor replacement rings although are made from a better design in cooling vanes and metallurgy. However, due to the OE axle blocking the air inlets, surface mount rotors (such as these OE two piece) don’t permit cool air to enter the rotor from the outboard, side like RB’s center mount design. The the cool air admission is extremely limited. As a result, it this causes the common understanding to GT-R drivers that OE rotors are very easy to crack.
Under such poor operating conditions, RB replacement rotor rings will still hold up, but when under extreme heat, you may still experience other ill effect that can spill over to brake pads and other components -- such as brake fading, pre-mature pad wear, brake juddering, burnt caliper boots/seal, boiling brake fluids, shorten wheel bearing life etc.
Check your brake components often to not exceed their limits, and try our center mount design rotors rotors to enable the system to run cooler. Just remember that heat is a brake’s #1 enemy.
