Product Description:

This is our loudest 3” exhaust kit for the Chevy SS. All of us at Solo Performance are excited to bring our Street-Race-X3-XF series converter back (cat-back) stainless steel, mandrel bent, dual exhaust kit to the SS community. These no drone exhaust kits offer a deep, raw, rich and smooth exhaust note on the outside and are non-invasive on the inside. These are “Sound on Demand” exhaust systems that produce the sound you want when accelerating or revving but become quiet at cruise speeds. The Street Race is the loudest Solo kit for the Chevy SS as it has an X-Pipe and no muffler. 

Solo has replaced that annoying cruise speed cabin drone with a comfortable exhaust note through advanced technology and a painstaking R&D process. Our Street-RaceX3-XF,  3”  exhaust kits is a loud ( our loudest ) sounding performance exhaust kit with a deep 60’s American Muscle sound and no drone. This kit has a front X-Pipe that equalizes the cylinder pressure and accelerates while softening and smoothening the exhaust note. At Solo we realize that there are many different tastes and styles in performance exhaust and we strive to give you choice to satisfy your needs. 

The tailpipe assembly comes with Solo’s tunable J-Pipes. These J-pipes are capped off on the end, and as the sound waves enter the J-pipe they bottom out on the end cap and bounce back. Upon the sound wave re-entering the exhaust flow, it collides with the specific G8 drone frequency and cancels it out. Since all G8 engine harmonics are not exactly the same, we have made a slider end cap (just loosen the band clamp and slide the piece longer or shorter) so that you can fine tune the exhaust note if necessary. Tomorrow’s echnology on today’s Chevy SS.
