- Install the included weather stripping along the front of the bed rail, stopping just before the bend
- Attach the side rails starting on the passenger side, positioning clips roughly six inches from the front, center, and near the tailgate
- Slide the rail forward until snug against the front of the bed and tighten the clamps evenly without overtightening
- Route the drain tubes to an open location outside the bed
- Install the front locking clips onto the rail channel
- Lay the folded cover onto the rails, unfold it, and center it evenly on both sides
- Close the tailgate slowly to seat the weather stripping against the tailgate seal
- Snug down the remaining rail clips on both sides, checking that the cover operates smoothly before finishing
