The Thermal R&D B209-C209 is a 2.5" catback exhaust system engineered for the Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ, and Toyota 86 platform sharing the FA20 naturally aspirated boxer four-cylinder engine. Built in Lancaster, California from T304 stainless steel, the B209-C209 brings a full-voiced, rev-happy exhaust note to the platform without cabin drone. Thermal R&D's patented Helmholtz resonator technology is calibrated to the FA20 boxer engine's unique exhaust pulse character to eliminate standing wave frequencies at highway speeds while preserving the engaging flat-four sound at higher RPMs.
The B209-C209 exits with dual 4.5" polished stainless tips for a premium, wide-body exhaust appearance. Installation is a direct bolt-on to the factory connection with no modifications required.

Installation Instructions
Lift and support the vehicle safely. Remove the factory catback from the connection rearward. Route the B209-C209 on the OEM-style hangers, connect the inlet flange, torque all hardware to specification, and align the dual 4.5" polished tips per the instructions. Install time approximately 45 to 60 minutes. Full written instructions included.
