The ACT RB004 is a high-quality direct-fit release bearing for the 2013-2020 Subaru BRZ, 2013-2016 Scion FR-S, and 2013-2020 Toyota 86. Installation Instructions
- Remove the transmission to access the clutch and release bearing assembly.
- Remove the old release bearing from the input shaft sleeve and fork.
- Clean the input shaft sleeve and fork contact points. Inspect the fork and pivot for wear or damage.
- Apply a thin film of high-temp grease to the input shaft sleeve where the bearing slides.
- Slide the new ACT RB004 onto the input shaft sleeve and seat it onto the fork clips or retaining tabs.
- Reinstall the clutch disc and pressure plate using the ACT AT90 alignment tool, then reinstall the transmission.
- Verify smooth clutch pedal operation through several engagement cycles before returning the vehicle to service.
