Installation Instructions

1. Disconnect the battery, then raise the vehicle and support it on rated jack stands with the wheels chocked.
2. Drain the transmission fluid, disconnect the shift linkage or cables, the clutch hydraulics and any electrical connectors and sensors that cross to the transmission.
3. Support the engine, remove the transmission mount and crossmember, then unbolt and lower the transmission clear of the engine.
4. Unbolt the pressure plate in a criss cross pattern, a little at a time, and remove the old pressure plate and disc.
5. Unbolt and remove the flywheel, then clean the crankshaft flange and inspect the rear main seal and pilot bearing.
6. Install the flywheel with the correct hardware and torque sequence, then clean the friction surface with brake cleaner to remove all oil and handling residue.
7. Fit the clutch disc using the supplied alignment tool, noting that the raised hub or marked side faces the correct direction as shown in the instructions.
8. Bolt the pressure plate down in a criss cross pattern in stages to the specified torque, then remove the alignment tool.
9. Replace the release bearing and inspect or replace the release fork, pivot and slave cylinder, lubricating the input shaft splines lightly with high temperature grease.
10. Reinstall the transmission, mounts, linkage, hydraulics and wiring, refill the transmission fluid and bleed the clutch hydraulic system.
11. Complete a full break in of at least several hundred miles of moderate street driving before hard launches or track use so the friction material seats correctly.
