AEM 2 BAR MAP or 30 PSIA Stainless Steel Sensor Kit
AEM 30-2130-30 measures 0–30 PSIa using a stainless-steel transducer with a 1/8-inch NPT male connection. Its pressure reference is absolute vacuum. Match the sensor range, wiring and analog-input calibration to the actual measurement task.
Key Features
- 30 PSIa full-scale range in the nominal 2 bar MAP class.
- Regulated 5 V sensor supply and nominal linear 0.5–4.5 V output.
- 304L stainless body and 316L wetted material listed in the family manual.
- ±1% full-scale accuracy, per AEM’s manual.
- Mating three-pin connector kit and application fittings identified below.
Fitment
| Requirement | Supported configuration |
|---|---|
| Pressure reference | Absolute, referenced to vacuum |
| Range | 0–30 PSIa |
| Mechanical port | 1/8-inch NPT male; matching sealed pressure connection required |
| Electrical system | Compatible regulated 5 V supply, sensor ground and analog signal input |
| Controller setup | Exact range, reference and calibration required; not automatically compatible with every OEM ECU or gauge |
The 2 bar name is a nominal absolute-pressure class, not 2 bar of boost above atmosphere. Absolute sensors can measure manifold vacuum; gauge-pressure sensors use a different pressure reference. No year/make/model fitment is implied by the connector or port size alone.

AEM’s linked chart displays a PSI curve with an atmospheric offset, including negative values, while the sensor is specified as absolute. The PSI-absolute endpoints here express that same curve relative to absolute vacuum. The printed PSI transfer equation also differs from the plotted/table endpoints. Verify the exact calibration against a known pressure reference and confirmed AEM/controller guidance; do not rely on that inconsistent equation.
What’s Included
- One 30 PSIa stainless-steel pressure sensor
- Mating connector and terminal-pin kit
- 1/8-inch NPT to -4 adapter
- 1/8-inch NPT to 3/16-inch hose-barb adapter, per the exact kit matrix
A display, ECU, logger, complete vehicle harness and installation plumbing are separate. Select fittings and hose appropriate for the installation; the adapters do not establish vehicle-specific fitment.

FAQ
What is the 30-2130-30?It is an AEM stainless-steel absolute MAP sensor kit with a 0–30 PSIa measurement range and a 1/8-inch NPT male port.
Is this pressure range absolute or gauge? It is absolute pressure, referenced to vacuum. Atmospheric pressure is already part of the reading; the full-scale label is not the same amount of boost above atmosphere.
What supply voltage is required? The family manual specifies a regulated 5 V supply within ±0.5 V. Do not connect it directly to a 12 V vehicle power feed.
How should the output be configured?Configure a compatible analog input for this exact sensor range and pressure reference. The nominal linear output spans 0.5–4.5 V; verify the documented endpoints and check the result against a known reference.
Does a matching connector prove it fits my vehicle? No. Verify the supply, ground, signal pin positions, input capability, calibration, port and operating conditions. This is a specification-selected sensor, not a guaranteed plug-in replacement for every vehicle.
Is a hose-barb adapter included?Yes. AEM’s exact kit-content matrix lists the connector kit, -4 adapter and 3/16-inch hose barb with this absolute-pressure kit.
What does ±1% accuracy mean? The manual specifies ±1% of full scale, which is different from ±1% of each displayed reading. Correct wiring, calibration and operating temperature still matter.
How is the connector assembled? The supplied connector uses pull-to-seat terminals. Feed the wire through the housing before crimping, then pull the terminal into its seat as shown in the AEM instructions.
Installation Instructions
- Confirm the exact pressure range and reference, intended fluid/system, 1/8-inch NPT port and operating conditions before installation.
- Isolate electrical power and safely depressurize the system. Mount the sensor and suitable fittings without applying installation force through the electrical housing.
- Follow the AEM connector diagram and pull-to-seat assembly sequence. Connect regulated sensor power, sensor ground and the compatible analog input; do not assume an OEM connector shares the same pinout.
- Configure the exact calibration and pressure units in the receiving device. For absolute sensing, distinguish the actual absolute-pressure channel from any atmosphere-relative display.
- Restore the system, inspect for leakage and verify the reading against an appropriate known pressure reference before relying on it for logging or control.
