Verify aFe 56-70036R. Work on a cool engine. Release the breather clamp and retain it, loosen the airbox and throttle-body tube clamps, unlock the two inlet rivets and lift the original scoop. Retain the three housing screws, remove the original tube and disconnect the breather, then lift out the original housing/inlet. Transfer all three grommets and sleeves. Secure the new housing with two original screws inside and the third outside at the battery tray. Push the filter into place until its tabs lock. Use a 16mm wrench to install the aluminum NPT fitting in the tube; a small hex-to-tube gap is normal. Leave the filter clamp loose. Fit the elbow’s small end onto the throttle body and snug the #044 clamp first so the coupling cannot move off during tube installation. Leave #052 loose on the larger elbow end. Insert the tube’s smaller end into the elbow and larger end into the filter, then snug #052. Align the tube, filter and coupling before tightening all clamps. Reconnect the breather to the aluminum fitting with its original pry clamp. Secure the housing inlet with the two supplied push clips and check every connection. Recheck screws, clamps and connectors after 100–200 miles. No numeric torque or sensor-transfer step is supplied.
