The manual expressly notes that actual clamp appearance may differ from the photographs; identify the supplied current set rather than assuming every clamp is a T-bolt. The factory CCV hose is retained, not replaced by a generic new hose. Wash and re-oil using the correct Pro-GUARD 7 service products and instructions. This is not a dry filter.

Installation Instructions

Verify aFe 50-70062G. Work only on a cool engine and keep original parts. Remove the two engine-cover screws, lift the cover over the oil filler and pull it forward. Disconnect the CCV hose at the engine, unplug the MAF and the temperature-sensor harness on the CCV hose, loosen the turbo-inlet clamp and unclip/twist out the old tube. Carefully separate only the intake-tube-side pinch clamp; do not loosen the second pinch clamp on the CCV-hose side. Retain and reconnect the CCV hose to the engine. Remove the original housing and transfer the MAF to the new tube in the same orientation with the two supplied M4 screws and T20 bit. Fit the elbow, clamps and new lower mounting grommet loosely. Fully seat the CCV insert with its slash-cut face pointing toward the turbo inlet, aligning its notch with the tab inside the coupling; incorrect assembly can cause a check-engine light. Transfer the housing sleeve and rubber grommet, attach the silicone inlet seal with three top locking tabs and the two side retaining clips, seat the housing in its mounts and reuse the fender screw. Use the remaining clip on the seal's fender side. The opposite painted bolt is optional and may chip paint; tucking the tab beneath the fender is the stated alternative. Lock the filter into its housing, install the tube/coupling and snap the tube grommet onto its post. Tighten the matched clamps without overtightening; seat the original CCV hose against the coupling with no face gap and secure its mini clamp. Reconnect both sensor harnesses and tighten the filter clamp. Reinstall the engine cover; if it touches the MAF harness, adjust the tube lower as the manual instructs. Recheck all screws, clamps and connectors after 100–200 miles. No numeric clamp torque is supplied.
