Installation Instructions

1. Read the exact manufacturer instructions for 46-20299-B, verify the actual engine, supplied parts and every unresolved source conflict before disassembly.
2. Park level, engage the parking brake, cool the engine and follow the manual negative-battery disconnection guidance. Loosen the three intake Y-pipe clamps, disconnect its sensor and remove the Y-pipe.
3. Release the vent-tube clip, disconnect the cold-tube sensor wiring/harness attachment, and remove the original sensor for reuse. Release the throttle-body coupling.
4. Remove the skid plate as instructed. Rotate and move the pressure-relief-valve tube aside. Separate the upper cold pipe and rubber coupling, then release the lower wire retaining clip and remove the remaining factory cold-pipe section. Retain the clip.
5. Fit the small supplied coupling and applicable smaller clamp to the new tube. Seal the unused 1/8 NPT port with the supplied plug and thread sealant. Install the original sensor with the supplied small screw.
6. Fit the original retaining clip into the outer adapter groove and supplied O-ring into its inner groove. Lubricate the adapter and original sensor O-rings with the instructed small amount of grease to avoid tearing. Fit the large 45-degree coupling and larger clamps to the adapter.
7. Lower the tube into place, seat the adapter fully onto the intercooler and confirm the original clip snaps completely into its groove. Seat the tube in the adapter coupling and connect the upper coupling to the throttle body with the remaining clamp.
8. Restore the pressure-relief-valve tube. Confirm the tube does not rest against plastic or metal surfaces, then tighten all clamps as directed and reinstall the skid plate.
9. Reconnect and lock the vent tube, reconnect original sensor wiring and restore the intake Y-pipe and intake sensor. Restore the battery connection under the applicable service procedure and inspect secure, leak-free connections.
