aFe 49-43116NM-B This Apollo GT axle-back replaces the original muffler and rear exhaust with a no-muffler assembly, 3.5–4-inch mandrel-bent 409 stainless tubing and ONE black 6-inch-outlet stainless tip. The selected system uses factory-style connections and hangers with 100% MIG-welded construction.

No. The manual covers muffled/unmuffled and black/polished alternatives. This selection uses delete pipe 05-144947 and BLACK tip 49T40601-B12 only. Muffler 05-144944 and polished tip 49T40601-P12 are not extra supplied parts.

Remove the original muffler assembly and tailpipe UP TO THE FACTORY RESONATOR PIPE. Retain that resonator connection and reuse the original rubber isolation mounts. The selected procedure does not call for cutting, battery disconnection or sensor/valve work.

Install the delete pipe with the supplied 3-inch band, then the over-axle pipe with one 3.5-inch band, then the tailpipe with the second 3.5-inch band. Engage the original isolation mounts. Fit and position the selected black tip before final alignment and tightening.

Align the assembly and check surrounding clearances. Tighten evenly from FRONT to REAR. Band clamps require 40–45 ft-lb. No separate numeric tip-fastener torque is supplied; do not borrow a value from another tip or kit.

Re-tighten ALL clamps and hardware after 50–100 miles. At installation, start the vehicle and locate and repair leaks before lowering it.

Installation Instructions

1. Read BOTH pages and all FOURTEEN steps of the selected September 2026 manual, including the shared bill, selected-parts diagram and installed photograph. Confirm the exact gas engine year and cab/bed layout. Inspect shipping condition, allow the exhaust to cool, wear eye/hand protection and support the vehicle at its specified jack-stand positions. Independently support the original exhaust; leave new joints loose for alignment.
2. Remove the original MUFFLER ASSEMBLY AND TAILPIPE up to the FACTORY RESONATOR PIPE. The manufacturer describes a no-cut/no-modification installation for the listed layout, and this selected manual does not specify a cut. Do not remove the factory resonator or substitute a catalytic-converter connection procedure.
3. Install selected delete pipe 05-144947 using the supplied 3-inch band clamp, engaging its hangers in the original rubber isolation mounts. Do not install the alternative muffler shown in the shared drawing.
4. Fit over-axle pipe 05-144945 with ONE supplied 3.5-inch band. Fit tailpipe 05-144946 with the SECOND 3.5-inch band and engage its hanger in the original isolation mount. Install the selected BLACK tip and adjust its position.
5. Align all sections and check safe clearance to wires, hoses, brake lines, body and tires. Starting at the FRONT, evenly tighten clamps and fasteners. The selected manual gives 40–45 ft-lb for BAND CLAMPS; it gives no separate numeric torque for the tip fastener.
6. Start the vehicle, check and repair any leaks, then lower it safely. Re-tighten ALL clamps and hardware after 50–100 miles. No battery disconnection, sensor transfer, valve-motor replacement or coding procedure is specified.
