aFe 49C44114 This 3-inch mandrel-bent 409 stainless upgrade replaces the factory muffler with a high-flow 409 stainless muffler and adapter. The exact selected kit contains two assemblies and three band clamps. The manufacturer specifies 100% MIG-welded construction.

Fitment
For 2019–2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 with the 6.2L V8 and the original DUAL FRONT AND REAR EXHAUST VALVES. Both current manufacturer page and selected September 2026 instructions require this valve layout. Single-front-valve models use a different part; dual exhaust outlets alone do not establish dual-valve fitment. The listed trim years require the actual 6.2L engine and matching exhaust. Custom Trail Boss, LT Trail Boss and RST are supported for 2020 only; AT4 is supported for 2019–2020.

Are the cuts measured from the muffler weld?The selected manual gives no numeric cut measurement. Mark the front of the muffler as close to its body as shown and mark directly behind the rear valve. Follow its exact cut drawing and FORWARD arrow; do not borrow a measurement from a different valve-layout kit.
Which half of the original exhaust is removed?After cutting at both marks and removing the factory muffler, remove the BACK HALF of the original exhaust. Fit the selected replacement and reinstall that back half.
Does the kit include new tailpipes, tips or valve motors?No. The selected bill contains only the listed replacement assembly or assemblies and band clamps. No tailpipe, decorative tip, valve motor, sensor or wiring package is itemized.
What torque and tightening order apply?Align the complete system and check surrounding clearances. Tighten evenly from FRONT to REAR. Band clamps require 40–45 ft-lb; no separate fastener torque is supplied.

Installation Instructions
Verify aFe 49C44114.
- Read BOTH pages of the selected September 2026 manual, including all 17 steps, the bill, installed photograph and FORWARD-arrow cut drawing. Confirm the original dual front/rear valve layout. Allow the exhaust to cool, wear eye and hand protection and support the vehicle at its specified jack-stand positions. Support the factory exhaust separately. Leave joints loose until the complete assembly is aligned.
- Mark the FRONT of the original muffler as close to the muffler as shown in the exact drawing. Mark a second line DIRECTLY BEHIND THE REAR VALVE. Follow the drawing and its FORWARD arrow; the manual gives no numeric cut distance.
- Cut at BOTH marks and remove the original muffler. Then remove the BACK HALF of the factory exhaust. Do not substitute the single-front-valve kit’s cut measurement or front-half removal procedure.
- Install the adapter and muffler using TWO 3.25-inch bands and ONE 3-inch band, in the orientation shown in the bill and drawing. Reinstall the BACK HALF of the original exhaust. No replacement valve-motor transfer, electrical disconnection or coding procedure is specified.
- Check safe clearances to wires, hoses, brake lines, body parts and tires. Starting at the FRONT, evenly tighten all clamps and fasteners. The selected manual specifies 40–45 ft-lb for BAND CLAMPS and supplies no separate fastener torque.
- Start the vehicle, check for leaks and identify and repair any leaks before lowering it safely. Re-tighten ALL clamps and hardware after 50–100 miles.
