BladeRunner charge piping for the exact engine

The aFe 46-20134-B is the BladeRunner hot/cold charge-pipe kit for the listed 2013–2018 Ram 6.7L turbo-diesel applications, with nominal 3-inch tubing and black powder-coated finish. It supplies charge piping rather than an intercooler core. Current manufacturer material descriptions and the older linked kit lists conflict, so actual boxed construction and packaging require confirmation.

Key Features

  • Current primary corrects the old title's 2013–2014 limit to 2013–2018, while the earlier manual year range remains visible.
  • Hot/cold nominal 3-inch charge-pipe configuration; manufacturer material inconsistency is disclosed rather than silently selecting a metal.
  • Reinforced five-ply couplings and constant-tension T-bolt clamps are described by the exact current page, with actual older packaging discrepancies retained.
  • The current primary states compatibility with OEM or the appropriate aFe upgraded intercooler; no unverified core or unrelated kit is linked.
  • No numerical power gain, EGT reduction, boost rating or guaranteed leak-free result is invented from generic performance prose.

Fitment

Years Model Exact engine / requirements
2013–2018 Ram 2500 / 3500 6.7L turbo-diesel and matching original charge interfaces; current primary application. Linked August 2016 procedure only names 2013–2016

46-20134-B: The current exact primary names 2013–2018 Ram diesel applications; the linked August 2016 instructions stop at 2013–2016. The later current application is retained without treating the old procedure as independently verified for 2017–2018. The actual 6.7L diesel, model and original connections are required; every trim/engine combination is not certified. The current exact manufacturer heading calls the tube aluminum, while the same page's detailed description and overview call it stainless steel. The actual supplied material revision is unresolved; neither metal is certified here solely from that contradictory page. The August 2016 hot-side parts list prints both black and red tube alternatives and mislabels 05-60013 ×3 as silicone hump couplings, while its procedure requires an elbow and a straight/hump connection. It does not establish three extra silicone couplings or both color tubes in one kit. Confirm the exact boxed parts and revision before disassembly. The cold-side sheet also prints both finish alternatives and lists only a hump coupling despite an elbow in its installation steps. Its printed clamp quantities are two 3.75-inch 05-60024 and two 3.13-inch 05-60013. The missing elbow identification and exact combo packaging remain unverified.

Specifications

Detail Value
Manufacturer Part Number 46-20134-B
Configuration Hot and cold charge piping with reinforced couplings and T-bolt clamps; exact complete packaging remains qualified
Tubing / flow path Nominal 3-inch tubing; current heading says aluminum but detailed text says stainless steel, actual material revision unresolved
Finish Black powder-coated tubing; current detailed copy describes wrinkle black and a welded stainless logo plate
Clamps / fastening The linked August 2016 instructions say to tighten clamps after alignment, but publish no numerical torque, spring-collapse endpoint or mileage-based recheck interval. Do not import values from a later Ram pipe family.
Original sensors / seals For hot-side access, disconnect the two intake-tube sensor connections and the sensor at the bottom of the airbox, then restore all three along with the breather tube after refitting the airbox/intake. These are original access components; no new sensors are verified as included.
Emissions The current exact manufacturer page states this part is not CARB exempt and is unavailable for purchase in California or use on vehicles registered with the California DMV. The linked instructions also carry the non-CARB notice.

What's Included

  • Hot-side black tube alternative 05-60414B and cold-side black tube alternative 05-60415B are identified in the two-sheet linked instructions. The red identifiers are finish alternatives, not extra included tubes.
  • Hot sheet lists one 05-60039 clamp and one 05-60216 silicone hump, but its 05-60013 ×3 line is mislabeled. The procedure requires an elbow that is not cleanly identified in that list.
  • Cold sheet lists two 3.75-inch clamps, 05-60024; two 3.13-inch clamps, 05-60013; one hump coupling, 05-60025. Its procedure also needs an elbow not identified in the printed list.
  • The current primary confirms reinforced five-ply couplings and T-bolt clamps; exact complete combo contents require confirmation against the supplied revision. No air filter, core, new sensor, O-ring or accessory-port plug set is certified from these documents.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the 46-20134-B?

A nominal 3-inch hot/cold charge-pipe kit for the stated Ram 6.7L diesel applications, not an intercooler core.

Is the tubing aluminum or stainless steel?

The current exact manufacturer heading calls the tube aluminum, while the same page's detailed description and overview call it stainless steel. The actual supplied material revision is unresolved; neither metal is certified here solely from that contradictory page.

Why do the current page and manual years differ?

The current exact page names 2013–2018, while the linked August 2016 instructions name 2013–2016. Actual 2017–2018 procedure and hardware revision must be checked rather than treating the old sheet as complete later-year evidence.

Does the hot-side parts list show every supplied part clearly?

The August 2016 hot-side parts list prints both black and red tube alternatives and mislabels 05-60013 ×3 as silicone hump couplings, while its procedure requires an elbow and a straight/hump connection. It does not establish three extra silicone couplings or both color tubes in one kit. Confirm the exact boxed parts and revision before disassembly.

What must be checked in the cold-side contents?

The cold-side sheet also prints both finish alternatives and lists only a hump coupling despite an elbow in its installation steps. Its printed clamp quantities are two 3.75-inch 05-60024 and two 3.13-inch 05-60013. The missing elbow identification and exact combo packaging remain unverified.

Are new sensors or a water/methanol system supplied?

For hot-side access, disconnect the two intake-tube sensor connections and the sensor at the bottom of the airbox, then restore all three along with the breather tube after refitting the airbox/intake. These are original access components; no new sensors are verified as included. No injection system or threaded-port package is verified by these documents.

What clamp torque and inspection interval are specified?

The linked August 2016 instructions say to tighten clamps after alignment, but publish no numerical torque, spring-collapse endpoint or mileage-based recheck interval. Do not import values from a later Ram pipe family.

Is this kit CARB exempt?

The current exact manufacturer page states this part is not CARB exempt and is unavailable for purchase in California or use on vehicles registered with the California DMV. The linked instructions also carry the non-CARB notice.

Installation Instructions

  1. Read the exact manufacturer instructions for 46-20134-B, verify the actual engine, supplied parts and every unresolved source conflict before disassembly.
  2. Let the vehicle cool, park level, apply the parking brake and use wheel chocks as necessary. Disconnect the battery as directed. Confirm the actual boxed material, elbow/coupling identity and later-year procedure before starting; the linked August 2016 sheets name 2013–2016.
  3. For the hot side, disconnect the two intake-tube sensor connections and release the breather-tube clamp. Remove the intake tube and airbox, disconnecting the bottom-airbox sensor.
  4. Release the original hot connection near the turbo and, from below, the intercooler-end clamp. Carefully break the coupling seal if necessary and remove the original hot assembly from below.
  5. Following the actual confirmed kit hardware, fit the elbow to the shorter hot-tube end without fully tightening, install the tube and connect the straight/hump coupling at the turbo end. Keep the pipe clear of metal surfaces before tightening. The malformed parts list is not a basis for inventing an elbow part number or extra supplied couplings.
  6. For the cold side, the linked second sheet releases the driver-side intercooler coupling from below, removes the intake-manifold heat shield from above, releases the manifold coupling and removes the cold pipe from above.
  7. With the confirmed cold hardware, put the short elbow end on the reduced cold-tube end and connect the straight/hump coupling at the manifold. Keep the tube off metal surfaces, tighten its clamps and restore the heat shield. The cold sheet lists both finish alternatives and omits an elbow identity, so verify actual combo packaging rather than adding ambiguous lists together.
  8. Restore the intake tube and airbox, reconnect the bottom-airbox sensor, both intake-tube sensor connections, breather tube and battery. Verify all original connections and clearances. No numerical clamp torque or mileage interval is supplied by these exact linked sheets.

46-20134-B: inspect every connection and resolve the documented kit discrepancies before operation.
