Installation Instructions
- Read the exact manufacturer instructions for 46-20269-R, verify the actual engine, supplied parts and every unresolved source conflict before disassembly.
- Cool and securely park the vehicle. Disconnect the appropriate original temperature-sensor connector and release the original turbo/engine-end clamp and intercooler quick connections as shown in the exact manual.
- Remove the original charge pipe and temperature sensor. Carefully release the plastic housing retaining each original metal clip so that the metal clip can be reused on the supplied adapter.
- Seal the unused auxiliary port with the supplied plug and thread sealant. Transfer each original temperature sensor into its separate sensor port. Follow the exact hot/cold port orientation; do not substitute an injection nozzle for the original temperature sensor.
- Lightly lubricate the supplied O-ring, seat them in the adapter grooves and install the original metal clips on the adapters. Assemble the couplings with the manual clamp-number assignments.
- Fit the intercooler connection first and then the engine inlet. Reconnect all sensor wiring. Ensure the pipes clear metal surfaces and rubber hoses before tightening.
- Tighten clamps with the instructed 8 mm socket and verify complete seating, retained clips, clearances and secure connections before operation. The exact aluminum manual gives no numerical torque or mileage recheck interval.
