Installation Instructions
- Read the exact manufacturer instructions for 46-20049, verify the actual engine, supplied parts and every unresolved source conflict before disassembly.
- Cool and secure the vehicle and disconnect both negative battery cables. Loosen the turbocharger-coupler clamps, release the driver-side fender-liner clips and secure the liner out of the way, then loosen the intercooler-coupler clamps and remove the original tube through the wheel well.
- Use thread sealant on the supplied unused-port plug or suitable accessory sensor. Fit the plug when no aftermarket sensor is installed.
- Unfasten the original brake-line mounting bracket from the frame. Attach the new adapter using the retained original frame screw, then fasten the original brake-line bracket to the adapter with the supplied M8 screw/lock washer. No hydraulic-line opening is directed.
- Feed the new tube through the driver-side wheel well. Fit the reducer with the one small and one middle clamp at the turbo outlet and the 3-inch hump with two middle clamps at the intercooler end, leaving joints loose for alignment.
- Fully seat connections and ensure clearance before tightening spring-loaded clamps to 10 ft-lb OR a completely collapsed spring, per the exact current manual. Restore the fender liner/clips and both negative battery connections.
- Recheck clamps and connectors after 100–200 miles. Confirm the actual labelled part and exact D-550-8 year scope independently from the broader physical application.
