Verify aFe 54-13017R. Read the complete manual, work on a cool engine and disconnect the negative battery terminal. Loosen the original turbo-inlet and airbox clamps, remove the hose from its tube clip and remove the original tube. Retain the two airbox-to-frame screws and detach the wire clip. Slide back the red locking tab on the bottom of the MAF connector, unplug it and lift out the airbox. Transfer the original metal-insert grommets to the new housing, install the trim seal, seat the housing in the factory grommet and secure it with the two retained frame screws. Install the urethane auxiliary-inlet plug unless using the separate optional scoop. Seat the tube in the filter first, then in the coupling at the turbo inlet, and tighten all clamps. Reconnect the MAF harness and secure the original hose to the tube with the supplied fixing clamp, M6 screw and washer. Verify secure assembly and check all bolts, clamps and connectors after 100-200 miles. No cutting, drilling or numeric torque is specified.
