aFe 51-13002-B is a Magnum FORCE Stage-2 XP intake for the specified Jeep 3.6L V6. It pairs one Pro DRY S filter with a 3-inch mandrel-bent wrinkle-black powder-coated aluminum tube and a one-piece powder-coated 18-gauge steel heat shield. One 21-91127 Pro DRY S filter is supplied. Its three synthetic layers are oil-free; clean using the specified dry-media procedure and do not oil it. The current service-element specification is 9 inches tall; other media in the manual are alternatives, not extra supplied filters.

Place its upper two mounting holes between the two brackets near the battery. Put its slotted bracket between the radiator-bolt washer and rubber mount, reinstall the three nearby bolts and retighten the radiator mounting bolt. Reinstall the remaining unused original bolt at its original location.

Transfer the original intake-temperature sensor directly into the metal tube and reconnect its electrical plug. Transfer the original mounting grommets and their spacers/sleeves in the original direction, and reuse the original tube mounting bolts. No new MAF or plastic-tube-kit IAT adapter is supplied by this BOM.

Reconnect the original single CCV quick-connect vent hose to the new tube. The exact 3.6L BOM does not include the 2.0L kit’s separate vacuum generator, rubber isolation mount or 7-inch hose.

The kit uses one 05-00636 silicone reducer, one 05-01400 reducing bellows, three size-048 clamps and one size-052 clamp. Use the larger size-052 clamp at the filter adapter as illustrated. Installation Instructions

Verify aFe 51-13002-B. Work on a cool engine, disconnect the negative battery terminal and retain original parts. Disconnect the original intake-temperature sensor and the original CCV quick-connect vent hose and gently free the attached harness. Loosen the throttle-body clamp, remove both original tube mounting bolts and the housing bolt, then remove the factory tube and housing. Install the supplied bulb trim on the new steel shield and attach its filter adapter using all three M6 x 1 x 10 screws. Remove the three bolts in the housing area and loosen the radiator mount bolt. Transfer the original tube mounting grommets and their spacers/sleeves into the aluminum tube in the SAME direction. Carefully transfer the original intake-temperature sensor directly into the new tube; do not substitute another kit’s new IAT adapter or MAF procedure. Position the shield’s upper two mounting holes BETWEEN the two brackets near the battery. Insert its slotted bracket BETWEEN the radiator-bolt washer and rubber mount, reinstall the three bolts and RETIGHTEN the radiator mounting bolt. Fit the two silicone reducers with the specified clamps onto the throttle body and filter adapter; use the LARGER size-052 clamp at the adapter. Fit the aluminum tube, secure it with its original mounting bolts, align and tighten the clamps, and reconnect the original CCV quick connector and sensor harness. Reinstall the remaining unused original bolt in its original location, install the single selected filter on the adapter and tighten its clamp.
