Release the upper airbox while retaining the lower half. Fit the 31-inch trim and adapter with five supplied screws, then clip the new heat shield onto the ORIGINAL LOWER AIRBOX. Install the TWO 3/16-inch brass fittings stacked together and the 5/16-inch fitting by itself as Figure D shows. Fit the MAF with its gasket and the two slotted screws specified by the manual. Install the 3-1/2 and 4-1/8-inch hump couplings with their clamps and align the tube. FLIP the A/C-line clamp and attach it to the new tube with its original screw. Extend the indicated original hose using the 3/16-inch connector. Determine whether the valve-cover vent is the large or small version and use the corresponding supplied tee/hose branch in Figure G; cap a tee branch only where the actual application lacks that hose. Do not cap an active vent. Install the selected filter, reconnect the MAF harness, REINSTALL the throttle-body trim and reconnect the battery.
