Verify aFe 54-12392. Read the complete sixteen-page manual and work on a cool engine; disconnect the negative battery terminal. Release the two MAF attachment clips, remove the two cruise-control/airbox-mount nuts and, if equipped, detach the IAT sensor and retain its original screw. Remove the airbox and lower rubber bushing. Remove the four illustrated driver-side headlight screws and slide the headlight out a few inches for front housing-mount access. Attach the tube flange on the back side of the shield with three 25 mm screws, nuts, flat washers and wavy washers. Fit the selected filter and both trim seals, and prepare the #056 clamp loosely. Lower the assembly into place. At the front mount, insert the screw/washer from the headlight side toward the radiator: use nylon spacer and 25 mm screw for 1996-1999, or a 16 mm screw for 1992-1995, securing with the specified nut/washers. Restore the headlight. Join the original MAF to the new tube and tighten its clamp; when the original MAF is smaller, fit the supplied adaptor with its flat facing upward. U.S. Euro MAF conversions instead require their separately purchased exact upgrade and complete conversion instructions. Reinstall any original IAT in the shield with original hardware. Secure the speed nut and flat washer on the stud below the tube. Reinstall the cruise-control unit with the shield mounts sandwiched between, using the two 16 mm screws, nuts and four flat washers.
