aFe 54-12472 Magnum FORCE Stage-2 intake pairs a Pro 5R oiled filter with a three-inch mandrel-bent black powder-coated tube and 16-gauge heat shield for the specified GRAND Cherokee WK2 3.0L EcoDiesel. It transfers the original MAF assembly, stock air scoop and factory mounting grommets.
2014–2018 Jeep GRAND Cherokee WK2 with the 3.0L turbocharged V6 EcoDiesel only, as specified by the current exact manufacturer page and this kit’s own named retailer table. The older illustrated manual covers 2014–2015; confirm the actual later vehicle’s mounting, MAF housing, scoop and bracket revision against the supplied instructions. The shorter Cherokee KL is a different model and is not approved here. Existing named years and bounds are retained; no later-generation EcoDiesel, gasoline, Ram or other-platform interchange is inferred.

| Filter | 24-91087; one five-layer oiled cotton-gauze Pro 5R element |
| Heat shield | 16-gauge powder-coated |
| Tube | Three-inch mandrel-bent black powder-coated; exact alloy not independently specified |
| Sensor | Complete original mass-airflow assembly transferred to housing |
| Performance qualification | The linked dyno identifies a 2014 Grand Cherokee 3.0L and the DIFFERENT dry-media kit 51-12472, not a separately established result for this selected oiled filter. Its marked values differ by 6.41 HP and 11.26 lb-ft near 2,962 rpm; peak-to-peak differences are 3.23 HP and 5.54 lb-ft. Notes specify OE exhaust, fourth gear, 30% load, Sport mode and a 30-mph start, with the intake driven 540 miles. These dry-kit results do not independently certify this oiled-media configuration. The current page’s 28% flow claim has no separately linked bench-flow chart or independently established pressure/baseline here. Individual gains and the absence of fault codes are not guaranteed. |
| Emissions qualification | The exact current product page says this intake is not currently CARB exempt and is unavailable for California purchase or use on California DMV-registered vehicles. Its own manual also prohibits California-registered on-road or off-road use. No exemption is inherited from the SRT8 or another intake. |

Shared instructions show other filter media as alternatives. This purchased selection includes one Pro 5R filter, not multiple filter elements. Original MAF assembly, stock scoop, mounting grommets, scoop green tabs and reservoir-location hardware are retained rather than newly supplied.

Does the Pro 5R filter need oil?Yes. The selected 24-91087 filter has five cotton-gauze layers and is pre-oiled. Use the correct cleaner and Pro 5R oil; dry filters shown as alternatives in the manual are not additional included elements.
Which original sensor is reused?Transfer the COMPLETE MAF assembly from the stock upper housing to the heat shield with the supplied countersunk M6 screws and nuts. Preserve its illustrated orientation and reconnect the original harness.
Which factory mounting parts stay in use?Transfer the original scoop and housing grommets, restore its green retaining tabs, and secure the illustrated reservoir-location mounting. Later vehicle revisions must match the actual supplied brackets.
Which coupling and hose layout applies?Hump coupling at turbo inlet, straight coupling at MAF assembly and four No. 048 coupling clamps. Install the tube turbo end first; no gasoline-kit crankcase-hose conversion is borrowed.
Is the factory engine cover reinstalled?Yes. The EcoDiesel manual explicitly directs reinstalling it after reconnecting the MAF harness. Do not borrow an engine-cover restriction from another intake.
Does the linked dyno prove this exact selected-media gain? The linked dyno identifies a 2014 Grand Cherokee 3.0L and the DIFFERENT dry-media kit 51-12472, not a separately established result for this selected oiled filter.
What emissions and recheck instructions apply? The exact current product page says this intake is not currently CARB exempt and is unavailable for California purchase or use on California DMV-registered vehicles. Its own manual also prohibits California-registered on-road or off-road use. No exemption is inherited from the SRT8 or another intake. Check connections again after 100–200 miles; no numeric clamp or MAF-screw torque is supplied.
Verify aFe 54-12472. Read the full exact manual on a cool engine, disconnect the negative battery terminal and keep original parts. Remove the engine cover, disconnect the MAF harness, release the turbo-inlet clamp and upper-airbox tabs, and remove the stock tube, upper box and filter. Release the green scoop-retaining tabs below the trim seal, lift out the original lower box and save its mounting grommets and air scoop. Transfer the COMPLETE original MAF assembly to the new housing with the two countersunk M6 screws and nuts; the illustrated assembly retains its original flow-grid orientation. Transfer the original grommets and scoop, install the 18-inch trim seal on the shield’s upper edges and align the housing tab at the power-steering-reservoir fastener location shown in the older manual. Reinstall and secure the reservoir mounting and green scoop tabs; later vehicles must be matched to the correct supplied bracket revision rather than forcing an unlike mounting arrangement. Place the hump coupling at the turbo inlet and tighten only that inlet end; place the straight coupling at the MAF assembly and tighten only the MAF-side end. Fit the new tube TURBO END FIRST, align it and secure all four coupling clamps. Install and secure the selected filter, reconnect the MAF harness and REINSTALL the engine cover. No new sensor, sensor-delete operation or emission-system modification is supplied. No numeric clamp/sensor torque is given. Verify secure connections again after 100–200 miles.

The original Cherokee title was misleading: this is a GRAND Cherokee WK2 kit.
