Reuse the original MAF sensor and two screws, three housing mounting bolts, three steel sleeves and rubber grommets, both original CCV hoses with spring clamps and engine-cover bolts. Transfer the original duckbill drain only if equipped; otherwise the manual leaves that opening unobstructed. The updated manual explicitly warns that clamps in older photos may differ. Its bellows and two worm clamps replace the older fourteen-page guide 05-01264 hump and two 03-50265 T-bolts. Do not combine revision bills or add three alternative filters.

Verify aFe 54-76103. Read all sixteen pages and figures A-I of the updated manufacturer-authored manual. Work on a cool engine. Remove the two engine-cover bolts and lift the cover toward you. Loosen the throttle-body clamp and remove the three original housing bolts. Disconnect MAF, retain its two screws and release all three wiring clips. Slide back both CCV spring clamps, remove both CCV hoses from the resonance chamber and release the evap-hose clips, then remove the original intake. Clean the housing and both filter-flange mating surfaces as directed, assemble housing, selected filter and tube, and secure the filter joints. Fit both worm clamps to the bellows and tighten only its tube-side joint initially. Transfer MAF with the original screws. Transfer all three steel sleeves and rubber grommets; restore the duckbill drain if equipped. Place the full assembly coupling over the throttle body, compress it from the driver side while lowering the housing and align all three mounts. Restore the three original bolts, then secure the throttle-body clamp. Restore an equipped vent hose to its housing slot and reconnect MAF. Fit the CCV adaptor plain end over the tube nipple and both stainless-fitting ends into the original CCV hoses; restore spring clamps. Tie the evap hose to the adaptor and secure MAF wiring with the supplied ties. Restore engine cover and verify secure connections. Retighten after approximately 100-200 miles. For an actually exempt configuration, follow the manual EO-label placement instruction. The updated manual specifies no battery-disconnection step or numeric torque; the older fourteen-page guide separately directed battery disconnection.
The current manufacturer-linked chart shows Pro 5R 570 versus original 465 CFM at 7 inches H2O, approximately 22.6 percent, rounded to 23 percent. Its dry-media value of 540 CFM is not this selection. The 2013 QX56 dyno marks 191.32 versus 175.88 hp and 358.86 versus 329.90 lb-ft at different rpm points, differences of 15.44 hp and 28.96 lb-ft. Run maxima are 348.91 versus 334.48 hp and 374.39 versus 364.29 lb-ft, differences of 14.43 hp and 10.10 lb-ft. Intake December 11, 2014 and baseline December 17, 2014 both use SAE 1.01, original headers, exhaust and tune, AWD mode, no load, closed hood and third gear; weather differs and intake notes more than 400 miles driven. These conditions limit generalization. Current manual is a manufacturer-authored retailer-hosted sixteen-page revision, distinct from the older fourteen-page Patrol guide. Official D-550-25 text and its rendered Exhibit A were reviewed: the selected family row specifies QX56 2011-2013, QX80 2014-2017, and Armada 2010-2015 and 2017.
