Installation Instructions

Verify aFe 51-76103. Read all sixteen pages and figures A-I of the updated manufacturer-authored manual. Work on a cool engine. Remove the two engine-cover bolts and lift the cover toward you. Loosen the throttle-body clamp and remove the three original housing bolts. Disconnect MAF, retain its two screws and release all three wiring clips. Slide back both CCV spring clamps, remove both CCV hoses from the resonance chamber and release the evap-hose clips, then remove the original intake. Clean the housing and both filter-flange mating surfaces as directed, assemble housing, selected filter and tube, and secure the filter joints. Fit both worm clamps to the bellows and tighten only its tube-side joint initially. Transfer MAF with the original screws. Transfer all three steel sleeves and rubber grommets; restore the duckbill drain if equipped. Place the full assembly coupling over the throttle body, compress it from the driver side while lowering the housing and align all three mounts. Restore the three original bolts, then secure the throttle-body clamp. Restore an equipped vent hose to its housing slot and reconnect MAF. Fit the CCV adaptor plain end over the tube nipple and both stainless-fitting ends into the original CCV hoses; restore spring clamps. Tie the evap hose to the adaptor and secure MAF wiring with the supplied ties. Restore engine cover and verify secure connections. Retighten after approximately 100-200 miles.
