This aFe Power Stage-1 cold air intake system replaces the factory intake on Volkswagen Golf Jetta and Beetle models from 1999 to 2005 with 1.8L and 1.9L engines. It delivers an extra 6 horsepower and 7 pounds per foot of torque through a 29 percent increase in airflow measured in cubic feet per minute. The enclosed 16-gauge heat shield and large conical Pro DRY S filter provide cooler denser air for quicker throttle response and more power.
