The shared manual heading is LB7, while one Silverado 3500 line incorrectly labels LLY/LBZ within the same 2001-2004 table; that conflicting line is not used to extend coverage. Original application bounds are preserved. Exact-part retailer evidence restores Silverado 3500 LT 2001-2004 and Sierra 3500 SL 2001-2002. These trim rows still require the actual LB7 configuration. The full Stage-2 package comprises the shared Stage-1 bill plus its additional Stage-2 column. A separately sold torque-booster tube identifier on the sheet is not an extra selected tube. The Value Pack spare filter, prefilter and cleaning kit are not selected contents. The manual shows the MAF transferring into the filter adaptor/housing arrangement before the Stage-2 tube replaces the original duct. No new MAF sensor, metal top cover or additional mounting bolts are inferred.

Installation Instructions
Verify aFe 54-10782. Read all fifteen illustrated steps and both bill columns. Remove the original MAF sensor using the supplied Torx bit, separate the original tube from the airbox and lift the airbox up and sideways toward the radiator out of its rubber mounts. Remove the five illustrated 10mm pan bolts, retaining the original hardware. Attach the filter adaptor to the new housing with the supplied 1/4-20 screws, nuts and washers. Position the housing and reuse four original bolts as the sheet directs; the fifth removed bolt is not silently converted into another supplied part. Transfer the original MAF with the gasket and nylon spacers between the mounting surface and sensor, using the supplied 8-32 screws. Apply trim beginning near the radiator shroud and install the pre-oiled filter without adding oil or grease to its mounting connection. The illustrated original-tube reattachment and completed Stage-1 photo are intermediate shared-kit steps; continue to the Stage-2 operations. To retain the original resonator, cut its original clamp using diagonal pliers and install it on the new tube with the supplied clamp. Reposition the other clamp to avoid hood-insulation damage and cut the coupler rubber locator as illustrated. If omitting the resonator, use the supplied aFe plug.
