Verify aFe 54-11502. Unplug the original MAF harness, disconnect all three original tube hoses and remove the stock airbox. On 4Runner, temporarily disconnect the inner-fender ground wires and RECONNECT them when mounting the heat shield with its supplied hardware. Fit the top trim. Transfer the original MAF to the tube using the two M4 screws, TWO nylon spacers and gasket BETWEEN sensor and tube. Fit the 3/16 and 5/16-inch brass nipples. Install the straight throttle-body coupling with two #44 clamps, insert the tube and place the rubber isolation mount BETWEEN its bracket and shield; fit the inner-hole trim after inserting the tube. Replace the original large vent hose at the throttle body and small vacuum hose with the supplied 22-inch and 14-inch hoses as illustrated. RETAIN and reconnect the original EVAP hose closest to the shield. Install the selected filter, reposition and tighten its clamp without oil or grease on the assembly connection, and reconnect the original MAF plug. This connection instruction does not change the filter media service requirement to re-oil cotton after cleaning.
