With a cool engine, remove the original engine cover and the two airbox bolts, disconnect the original MAF, loosen the original snorkel fasteners, and disconnect the original vacuum and valve-cover vent lines. Remove the original intake while retaining TWO original rubber grommets and metal spacers. Transfer them to the new housing. Remove the A/C bracket bolt, install the M8 rubber isolation mount and HAND TIGHTEN FIRMLY; clean paint/undercoating from threads if necessary as directed. Attach the intake adapter to the housing with the supplied M6 button-head screws and fit the 15.5-inch trim seal. Mount the housing using the original mount arrangement and supplied M8 nut/washer on the isolation mount. Transfer the original MAF using the supplied M4 screws, ensuring the MAF GASKET AND TWO NYLON SPACERS are between tube and sensor, then fit the brass nipple. Fit hump coupling 05-01399 with TWO #072 clamps at the adapter side, and reducer 05-01400 with #052 and #048 clamps at the throttle-body side, leaving connections loose for alignment. Transfer the original M6 engine-cover mounting insert to the new tube. Reconnect the original large vent hose and connect the supplied 16-inch 5/32-inch hose to the original small vacuum/fuel-regulator connection. Insert the selected filter at a slight angle, secure its connection and fit the aluminum cover using the supplied M6 screws.
