aFe 54-76305-CF Black Series dual-filter intake uses clear-coated twill carbon fiber for both housings and both tubes, with a serialized authenticity plate. Its two Pro 5R oiled filters serve qualified BMW S55 applications.
BMW S55 twin-turbo only: existing M2 Competition 2019-2021, M3 Base 2015-2018, M4 Base 2015-2020, M4 CS 2019-2020 and M4 GTS 2016 rows remain unchanged. Exact selected-part retailer tables additionally support M3 CS 2018, consistent with BMW USA launch evidence. Some global retailer tables list M4 CS 2018; that earlier regional year is held rather than extending the existing US model-year row. No ordinary N55 M2 or later S58 chassis is inferred. Exact manual cover includes M2 Competition 2019-2021, M3 2015-2018 and M4 2015-2020.

Includes Black Series emblem 06-00154. The shared bill lists dry filters as a separate version; this selection contains two oiled filters. Retain original MAF sensors, original mounting grommets, original carbon strut brace and its fasteners. Do not substitute the standard kit carbon cover or its screws for the full-carbon tube tabs. The two plugs are itemized in the exact bill, although their installation is not explicitly described in this carbon manual.

Which parts are carbon fiber? Both housings and both tubes use clear-coated twill carbon fiber.
Is 2018 M3 CS coverage supported?Exact selected-part retailer tables support the 2018 M3 CS, consistent with BMW USA launch evidence. Earlier regional M4 CS labels remain qualified and do not extend the existing US row.
Do the original MAF sensors transfer?Yes. Transfer both original sensors with four supplied M4 screws. The exact bill does not specify screw length.
How is the coolant hose retained?Press it into the tabs on the driver-side carbon tube.
Does the original strut brace remain?Yes. Remove and restore the original carbon strut brace, its eight bolts and reservoir bolt. Check that the hood cable is not pinched.
Are the advertised dyno values peak gains? The larger marked values occur at different rpm points. Run maxima differ by 8.12 hp and 12.64 lb-ft; the linked chart is a shared standard-intake test basis with the disclosed conditions.
What torque and follow-up checks apply? The exact manual supplies no numeric torque and calls for retightening connections after approximately 100-200 miles.
Verify aFe 54-76305-CF. Read all sixteen pages and figures A-I. Work on a cool engine and disconnect the negative battery terminal. Remove each windshield cover push clip and three plastic 10 mm nuts. Remove eight strut-brace bolts and the additional 10 mm reservoir bolt, then lift out the original carbon brace. Disconnect driver-side MAF and vacuum connections, unclip the coolant hose, loosen the turbo clamp and unclip the front mount; remove the small original rubber gasket from the front bracket. Disconnect the passenger MAF, remove its airbox and original elbow. Snap both filters into their new housings and leave clamps loose. Seat the driver housing on original grommets. Transfer the passenger bottom grommet with its orientation matching the sheet metal, then seat that housing on its mounts. Transfer both MAF sensors using the four supplied M4 screws. Fit the Black Series emblem in its recess. Insert the driver tube into the original turbo inlet first, then the filter; secure its front bracket and align clamp positions. Restore vacuum and MAF connections. Press the coolant hose into the carbon tube tabs. Fit the passenger silicone elbow to the turbo inlet with both clamps loose; insert its tube into the smaller coupling first, then the filter, align and secure clamps, and reconnect MAF. Restore the original strut brace and all fasteners without pinching the hood cable, then restore windshield covers and clips. The manual states no numeric torque. Retighten connections after approximately 100-200 miles.
Each selected-media flow chart shows Pro 5R 770 versus original 580 CFM at 7 inches H2O, approximately 32.8 percent higher. The separate dry-media value of 705 CFM is not this selected filter. Both product pages link byte-identical dyno artwork identifying a 2015 M4 F82 with the standard intake, so this is a shared manufacturer test basis, not an independent full-carbon test. Marked differences are 348.80 versus 331.94 hp, or 16.86 hp, and 399.11 versus 379.80 lb-ft, or 19.31 lb-ft, at different rpm points. Run maxima are 410.89 versus 402.77 hp and 412.78 versus 400.14 lb-ft, giving 8.12 hp and 12.64 lb-ft between peaks. December 19, 2014 runs differ in time, weather and SAE factor: baseline 0.99, intake 1.00. Notes specify fifth gear, Sport+, original wheels and hood closed; original exhaust is explicit for the intake run only. These conditions limit generalization. Manufacturer California purchase/use restrictions apply; no current CARB exemption is certified. Turn14 access is unavailable and prices remain unchanged.
