The dry filter in the shared bill belongs to a separate version. Transfer the original housing steel sleeves and rubber grommets, retain the original housing bolt, MAF sensor and its two screws, both original CCV hoses and spring clamps, and original engine cover. The separate external scoop is an optional purchase and is not in this intake bill. Restore safe original MAF wiring and evap-hose routing after releasing their clips.

Verify aFe 54-76108. Read all sixteen pages and figures A-H. Work on a cool engine and disconnect the negative battery terminal. Lift the engine cover up and toward you. Loosen the throttle-body clamp, remove the original housing bolt, disconnect MAF and release its harness clips. Compress and slide back the spring clamps on both CCV hoses and disconnect them from the original resonance chamber. Release both plastic evap-hose clips and remove the original intake. Transfer original housing steel sleeves and rubber grommets. Install the selected filter and housing, securing the housing with its original bolt; the plug optionally closes the auxiliary inlet. Transfer the MAF using both original screws. Insert the new tube into the filter, then fit the double-hump coupling and two supplied clamps between tube and throttle body. Adjust and secure clamps. Place the CCV adaptor end without a metal fitting over the tube nipple; insert its two stainless-fitting ends into the original CCV hoses and restore spring clamps. Reconnect MAF and verify secure connections and safe wiring and hose routing. Reinstall the engine cover. Check all bolts, clamps and connectors after exactly 200 miles. No numeric torque is supplied.
The linked selected-part flow chart shows 270 versus 228 CFM at 1.5 inches H2O, approximately 18.4 percent higher. The separate page statement of 500 CFM at 7 inches H2O uses a different pressure basis. The linked 2017 Titan PRO-4X dyno marks 303.54 versus 287.04 hp and 335.57 versus 317.28 lb-ft near 4,751 rpm, differences of 16.50 hp and 18.29 lb-ft. Run maxima are 351.60 versus 321.70 hp and 340.04 versus 325.84 lb-ft, differences of 29.90 hp and 14.20 lb-ft. These are distinct measurements. Baseline November 20, 2017 uses SAE 1.04; intake February 9, 2018 uses SAE 1.02. Both list original ECU, headers and exhaust, 275/70R18 tires, open hood, large fan and fourth gear.
