Installation Instructions

Verify aFe 50-70035R. Let the engine cool and disconnect the negative battery terminal. Remove the three original intake mounting screws, loosen the two old tube clamps, release the grey locks on the two vent lines and unplug the IAT sensor. Move its harness and retaining clips aside and remove the old tube/housing, returning any displaced rubber mounting grommets to their brackets. Install the supplied brass barb in the new tube with the specified wrench, connect the short silicone hose between that barb and plastic CCV fitting, and secure the CCV fitting with the supplied push clip. Seat the new IAT grommet and adaptor with its retaining bead correctly located. Release the original sensor tab, turn it a quarter-turn counterclockwise to remove it, then rotate it clockwise into the new adaptor until the small tab clicks. Transfer the original tube mounting sleeves/grommets, assemble the bellows and two T-bolts, and transfer the original housing sleeve/grommet. Snap the filter tabs fully into the housing, seat the housing on its grommets and reuse one original screw at the fender. Connect the new tube to the filter and turbo inlet, reconnect and clip the IAT harness, and reuse the other two screws at the core support. Separate the clip holding the two original vent tubes together, align each with its proper new CCV-fitting port and push both on until locked; refit the clip so the tubes do not rest against one another.
