The dry-filter bill row is a separate configuration. The hose is described as fuel hose in the bill but the actual procedure uses it at the passenger-side vent connection and white plastic tee, not in fuel plumbing. If that original hose is absent, use the 1/8-inch NPT plug and omit the passenger-side hose/mini-clamp connection. The procedure calls for provided threadlocker at the fittings; it is not separately quantified in the bill. No new MAF or MAF screws are itemized. Reuse the two original housing screws, housing grommets and original tube-support mounts. The optional scoop is not included.

Verify aFe 54-73116. Read all sixteen pages and figures A-I on a cool engine. Remove and retain the two housing screws and loosen the original tube clamps. Lift out the original housing. Disconnect the original vent hoses, releasing an equipped passenger-side hose at its white plastic tee. Some vehicles lack that hose. Pull the original tube upward and away from throttle body, keeping its mounting grommets in place. Transfer original airbox grommets to new housing. Insert selected filter, install its clamps and tighten only the larger housing T-bolt initially. Seat housing in the original mount. Fit bellows and clamps loosely to the small tube end. Install the two brass nipples and aluminum fitting with the threadlocker directed by the manual. If there is no original passenger-side hose, close that tube port with supplied 1/8-inch NPT plug. Slide coupling over throttle body first, then connect the other tube end to the filter and tighten clamps. Restore original vent connections; for an equipped passenger-side hose, connect the supplied 9-inch hose between the tube brass fitting and original white tee, securing both ends with mini clamps. Restore the original two housing screws. An optional separately purchased scoop follows its own sheet; without it, choose the housing opening plugged or open as directed, recognizing engine-compartment air and sound tradeoffs. Verify every connection. Check clamps and connectors after 100-200 miles. No battery-disconnection step or numeric torque is stated.
Actual linked bench chart shows selected intake 269 versus original 228 CFM at 1.5 inches H2O, approximately 18 percent. The product page separately gives 550 CFM at 7 inches H2O; these are different pressure conditions and are not interchangeable readings. The 2017 F-250 6.2L dyno marks 327.22 versus 312.07 hp and 358.18 versus 341.62 lb-ft at 4799 rpm, differences of 15.15 hp and 16.56 lb-ft. Run maxima differ by 8.94 hp and 10.75 lb-ft.
