aFe 54-72104 Momentum GT intake uses one reinforced Pro 5R oiled filter, molded XLPE housing and tube for 2017-2018 Ram 2500/3500 6.4L HEMI configurations without a mass-airflow sensor, including Power Wagon. The original air duct, temperature sensor and CCV connection are retained, while the AC-line isolation mount reattaches using supplied M6 hardware.
Current exact manufacturer page and twenty-page manual identify Ram 2500/3500 and 2500 Power Wagon 2017-2018 with 6.4L HEMI and no MAF. This includes qualified regular HD models, correcting the Power-Wagon-only title emphasis. Exact selected-part retailer tables restore 3500 Laramie 2017-2018. All original thirteen named rows and bounds remain, including Lone Star 2017 only. No 2016 earlier sensor arrangement, diesel or later-generation application is inferred.

Shared-bill dry and Pro-GUARD elements are alternatives, not additional supplied filters. Reuse the original air duct, two lower rubber housing grommets, remaining AC-line isolation mount, IAT, CCV hose and engine cover. One AC-line isolation mount is removed as illustrated; the remaining one slides into alignment with the new housing threaded insert. The primary and manual disagree on temperature-adaptor material; neither changes the actual sensor interface. The tube and housing are molded plastic, so the inaccurate Carbon Fiber product tag is removed separately with protected verification. No global collection rules change.

Is this limited to Power Wagon?Current manufacturer and exact manual also identify qualified 2017-2018 Ram 2500/3500 6.4L configurations without MAF.
Does a MAF transfer? This exact newer configuration has no intake MAF. The original temperature sensor transfers to the supplied adaptor.
How does the AC line attach? The retained isolation mount slides into alignment with the housing rear insert and attaches using supplied M6 bolt and both washers.
Are all four housing grommets new?No. Two original lower rubber grommets transfer, and two supplied urethane grommets fit the side tabs.
Should the CCV fitting bottom out?No. It is NPT, must not be overtightened and retains a normal gap between the hex and tube.
Does the linked dyno independently test this newer no-MAF version? It identifies the earlier 2016 54-72103 V2 tube and is qualified historical manufacturer evidence.
What torque and follow-up apply? No numeric torque or M6 bolt length is specified. Check bolts, clamps and connectors after 100-200 miles and verify engine-cover clearance.
Verify aFe 54-72104. Read all twenty pages and figures A-N. Work on a cool engine and disconnect negative battery terminal. Release engine-cover front mounts and pull forward to unclip rear mounts. Disconnect IAT and original CCV hose, loosen original tube clamps and remove tube. Remove upper airbox and filter, release AC-line fasteners and other hard/coolant-line retention. Lift housing from posts while still in vehicle, release original air duct tabs and remove housing and duct. Remove the illustrated AC-line isolation mount. Transfer two original lower grommets to new housing and fit both supplied side-tab urethane grommets. Reconnect original air duct. Fit sensor grommet/adaptor and original IAT. Install CCV NPT fitting without overtightening; a gap at its hex is normal. Seat housing and duct on all four mounts. Slide retained AC isolation mount to align with rear threaded insert and attach using supplied M6 bolt, lock washer and flat washer. Fit selected filter and large housing clamp loosely. Fit silicone coupling and smaller clamps loosely at throttle body. Install tube while prealigning original CCV hose, then ensure no gap around tube end and filter flange. Align and tighten clamps with engine-cover clearance checked. Reconnect IAT and click CCV hose past adaptor step, then tug-check retention. Restore rear and front engine-cover mounts and fit optional airbox plug if desired. No numeric torque is stated. Check bolts, clamps and connectors after 100-200 miles.
Actual family bench chart shows selected Pro 5R 590 versus original 435 CFM at 7 inches H2O, approximately 35.6 percent, rounded to 36 percent. Dry 550 and Pro-GUARD 540 CFM are different media. Current manufacturer links a dyno that actually identifies a 2016 Power Wagon and earlier 54-72103 V2 tube; it is qualified historical manufacturer basis, not a new independent 2017-2018 no-MAF configuration test. Marked 5613-rpm differences are 15.44 hp and 14.45 lb-ft, while run maxima differ by 15.42 hp and 11.68 lb-ft. Both runs September 2, 2016 use original tuner, headers and exhaust, 10 percent preload, blade fan and second gear; intake notes auxiliary scoop covered. Baseline SAE 1.03 versus intake 1.01 and weather differ. Current manufacturer and exact manual state not CARB exempt and unavailable for purchase in California or use on California-registered vehicles; the older CARB Yes copy is corrected. Turn14 authenticated access is unavailable; prices remain unchanged.
