The 16-inch hose is listed as fuel hose in the bill, but the actual procedure uses it for crankcase ventilation, not fuel plumbing. Retain original housing bolt, three rubber isolation mounts, engine-cover bolts and engine-side CCV clamp. The new MAF screws replace the original sensor screws. An equipped vent-hose clip behind the original housing requires the conditional drilled mounting hole; a blanket no-drilling claim does not cover that configuration.

Loosen the throttle-body clamp, remove the two tube bolts and CCV connection, then remove the original assembly. Transfer all three rubber isolation mounts. Only if the original vehicle has the specified vent-hose arrangement, drill the 3/16-inch hole at the illustrated molded point and restore its clip. Seat housing on the mounts and restore its original bolt. Transfer MAF with the two supplied M4 screws. Assemble selected filter to tube with its clamp. Fit hump coupling and both smaller clamps; secure the throttle-body side initially, leaving the other joint loose. Install the new CCV hose using the original engine-side clamp. Insert the FILTER into the housing first, then the tube into the coupling. Align and tighten all joints. Connect the CCV hose to the tube; reusing its original tube-side clamp is optional in the manual. Restore MAF connection and engine cover. Fit the auxiliary plug if desired. Follow the negative-battery instruction and verify secure connections. Retighten after approximately 100-200 miles. No numeric torque is specified. Apply the EO identification label only for an actually exempt configuration.
Manufacturer advertises 38 percent more flow and 195 CFM at 1.5 inches H2O; no flowchart is linked on the current selected page, so a baseline or installed-system percentage is not reconstructed.
