Verify aFe 50-70069D. Read all sixteen pages and figures A-L. Work on a cool engine and retain factory parts. Remove and save the original plastic clip holding the scoop seal; release the three original housing-cover tabs. Loosen the throttle-body clamp. Release the coolant-hose clip and move the hose aside. Disconnect the quick-release coupling and vacuum hose/clamp, remove the original cover/tube assembly, then lift the lower housing from its mounts. Fit the new scoop seal trim to the housing and fully seat all four supplied retaining clips. Transfer both side grommets from the old housing, seating them past the beads. Seat the new housing bottom pin fully in the vehicle grommet and engage both side pins/grommets in the bracket. Place the scoop seal behind the original plastic trim cover and secure it with the saved original clip. Put the large housing clamp and selected filter with its flange clamp in place, initially loose. Fit the optional auxiliary plug if desired; the manual associates maximum airflow with the opening uncovered. Fit the bellows and smaller T-bolt clamp at the throttle body and tighten that side; place the larger connection clamp on its open end loosely. Install the supplied aluminum vent and brass hose fittings in the new tube. Insert the tube into the throttle-body coupling first, then into the filter; align and tighten all connections. Reattach the coolant hose clip to the new tube and reconnect the quick-release and vacuum hose connections. Verify all security and clearance. No battery-disconnection step, sensor transfer or numeric torque is supplied; recheck bolts, clamps and connectors after 100-200 miles.
