aFe 51-74211 is the Momentum GT intake for specified Chevrolet Camaro 3.6L V6 applications. One Pro DRY S oval-flange filter fits the XLPE window housing. The molded tube includes a resonance chamber and retains the original MAF, breather and PCV connections. A supplied adapter or silicone plug handles the vehicle-dependent sound-hose provision.
Both current manufacturer pages and exact linked 20-page manuals specify Camaro 2016–2024 V6-3.6L. Exact R and D retailer tables identify LS 2017–2018 and LT 2016–2024. The existing LS bounds are retained and the LT endpoint is extended through 2024. These are conditional 3.6L V6 rows: LS/LT trim labels alone do not establish engine compatibility, and the four-cylinder, LT1/SS V8 and ZL1 configurations are not approved by these rows. Confirm the actual engine and factory connections. Sound-hose equipment varies and the manual supplies separate adapter and plug branches.

The sound-hose grommet, billet adapter and silicone plug serve an equipment-dependent tube connection. They are separate from the optional urethane plug that closes the housing auxiliary inlet. Do not substitute the SS procedure that transfers a factory elbow into a silicone elbow with a #16 clamp. The original chassis mounting grommets must remain in their tabs; if removed with the factory airbox, return them to those tabs before seating the housing pins completely through them. The filter clamp is illustrated without a separate BOM code. The exact manual supplies no M4 screw length, clamp torque, threadlocker, coolant hose, radiator-outlet procedure, trim seal or new temperature sensor. Retailer mixed-kit contents do not replace this illustrated BOM. Service supplies are separate.

Does the dry filter need oil?No. D uses three-layer oil-free synthetic media; R uses five-layer pre-oiled cotton gauze.
Does an LT badge alone establish fitment?No. The listed LS/LT rows require the actual 3.6L V6 engine and matching connections; they do not approve the four-cylinder or V8.
What if the car has no sound hose?Use the supplied silicone plug at the tube sound-hose provision. Equipped cars use the separate supplied grommet and billet adapter.
Is the auxiliary-inlet plug the sound-port plug?No. The urethane plug closes the housing auxiliary inlet; the silicone plug closes the unused sound-hose provision.
How does the coupling face the throttle body?Its smallest inside diameter goes onto the throttle body, using the smaller supplied T-bolt clamp.
Are the D-linked charts independent dry-media tests?No. Both pages link an R-labeled flow image and the same R-prototype dyno; the selected-media limitation remains explicit.
What torque and inspection interval apply?No numeric torque is specified. Check bolts, clamps and connectors after 200 miles and restore the engine cover.
Verify aFe 51-74211. Work on a cool engine. Remove the T30 engine-cover screw, remove the oil cap, lift off the cover and reinstall the cap. Disconnect the sound hose from the intake tube if equipped. Disconnect the MAF and breather hose; loosen the PCV hose clamp with an 8mm nut driver and remove that hose. Loosen the throttle-body and airbox clamps and remove the original tube. Release the airbox wire-loom clip and lift off the airbox; return any displaced mounting grommets to the chassis tabs. Fit the supplied scoop and optional auxiliary-inlet plug into the new housing. Seat the selected filter and its clamp, leaving that clamp loose. Push the housing pins completely through the chassis grommets. Transfer the MAF using T20 and the two supplied M4 screws without overtightening. Install the supplied aluminum vent fitting with a 17mm wrench. For a vehicle with a sound hose, fit the supplied rubber grommet and billet adapter into the tube; without that hose, close the tube sound-hose opening with the supplied silicone plug. Fit the silicone coupling with its smallest inside diameter onto the throttle body and secure the smaller T-bolt clamp; leave the larger clamp loose. Fit the tube into the coupling first and then into the filter, align it and tighten all clamps. Fully click the sound hose onto the billet adapter when equipped. Reconnect MAF, breather and PCV hoses. Restore the engine cover in reverse order, including the oil-cap handling, and check security and clearance. Recheck bolts, clamps and connectors after 200 miles. No numeric torque or battery-disconnection step is specified.
Both pages show 31-percent airflow and 15 hp/11 lb-ft headlines. Both linked airflow images are actually R-labeled and show 195 versus stock 148 CFM at 1.5 inches H2O, approximately 31.8 percent, rather than a 7-inch-H2O test. Both linked dyno images are the same R-version prototype comparison on a 2016 Camaro RS V6. At the plotted high-rpm point, 296.79 versus 282.14 hp differs by 14.65 hp and 222.35 versus 211.37 lb-ft differs by 10.98 lb-ft. Independent maxima are 296.79 versus 283.05 hp, a 13.74 hp difference, and 245.65 versus 234.72 lb-ft, a 10.93 lb-ft difference. The July 20 and August 4, 2016 runs state OE manifolds, OE exhaust without resonator, fourth gear, Sport Mode, stock wheels, blower fan and SAE factor 1.03. Baseline conditions are 100.28°F/29.39 in-Hg/11% humidity; intake conditions are 91.94°F/29.27 in-Hg/29%. The D page links that R-labeled flow chart and R prototype dyno; an independent selected dry-media result is not certified from those images. Point comparisons and differences between independent peaks are distinct and are not guaranteed gains for every vehicle.
