The supplied grommet serves the temperature sensor; do not substitute the minder’s original grommet. The battery bracket must hold the Group 65 battery without movement; the manual allows rubber tape under the bracket if needed to maintain contact, but tape is not listed as supplied. Disconnect both terminals from the driver-side battery and the passenger-side negative terminal using proper vehicle battery-service precautions. Remove any battery cover, release the driver-side battery bracket and remove that battery. Loosen the stock tube clamps and remove the tube. Remove the three housing screws, lift slightly to disconnect the temperature sensor and remove the housing, then remove the factory battery tray. Remove the two CCV-adapter screws, unplug the green plastic tube and remove the original rubber tube. Route the battery cable under the brake lines in front of the ABS manifold exactly as illustrated, protecting lines and cable clearance. Transfer the original minder and grommet; remove the original temperature sensor with a counterclockwise quarter-turn. Fit the new temperature-sensor grommet and original sensor in the new housing. Match the directional urethane snorkel profile to the housing opening. Install the new silicone turbo-adapter tube between turbo and original CCV adapter, restore the adapter screws and reconnect the green tube, leaving clamps loose. Angle the new housing so its urethane inlet enters beside the intercooler; feed the negative battery lead through the bottom opening and reconnect temperature-sensor wiring. Loosely fit the supplied fender bolts first, then bottom bolts with washers. Fit the selected filter and large clamp. Transfer the minder with its original grommet to the main tube. Fit its hump coupling and remaining two clamps, connect the CCV-adapter end first and then lower the tube into the filter. Reinstall the factory Group 65 battery, fit the supplied bracket and M6 screw, and verify that the battery cannot move. Maintain secure cable routing and clearance, reconnect driver-side leads and passenger-side negative as instructed, then tighten all clamps and check connectors. This manual gives no numeric torque.
