Installation Instructions

1. Confirm aFe 48-46208 against the exact vehicle and installed equipment. Inventory the actual components and follow the selected manufacturer instructions and current vehicle service requirements.
2. Read the exact selected guide, allow the exhaust to cool and use professional support and protective equipment. Support the vehicle on stands and disconnect the negative battery terminal as directed.
3. Remove and retain the downstream pipe/muffler, the bracket in front of the lower cross member, the original Y-pipe and the skid plate behind the cross member.
4. Place the clamp on the notched left assembly and loosely join the two sections. Reuse the original bolts at the converter connections and keep them loose during positioning. The documented pipe route is behind the cross member.
5. Restore the downstream exhaust and muffler in the rubber hangers and tighten their clamps. Tighten the original converter/Y-pipe bolts, then the slip-joint clamp. Step 10 refers to step 7, although the bolt attachment is in step 8; identify the actual original converter bolts.
6. Restore the skid plate and bracket. Apply the large tank shield and wrap both passenger-side plastic lines separately with the smaller shields at the documented locations. Resolve the unprinted screw application before completing the work.
7. Re-check the entire installation and clearances. Finish support removal safely and reconnect the negative battery terminal. The selected sheet prints no numeric torque or follow-up mileage.
