- Read both March 2022 manual pages, all 14 steps, exact bill/diagram and installed photograph. Verify GX460 4.6L, actual flange and five rubber mount locations. Current primary includes 2023 while manual ends 2022. Cool exhaust, use eye/hand protection and support vehicle/exhaust independently at approved points. Leave clamps loose until aligned.
- Remove original exhaust rear-to-front up to the original Y-pipe containing catalytic converters. RETAIN the Y-pipe/converters, TWO factory flange SPRING BOLTS and original rubber isolation mounts. Transfer original rubber mounts onto new system.
- Install front pipe 05-44863 using ONE original rubber mount at frame hanger and TWO original flange spring bolts. No new front gasket or spring-bolt package is itemized.
- Join muffler 05-245164 to front pipe with supplied 3-inch BAND clamp and engage THREE original rubber mounts on frame hangers. The 3-inch clamp is an actual joint size; it does not change the primary 2.5-inch system tubing specification.
- Join over-axle 05-245126 to muffler using supplied 2.5-inch BAND clamp and engage ONE original rear rubber mount. Install selected black clamp-on tip using supplied tip clamp; separate tip-clamp service number and dimensions are not printed.
- Align for safe clearance from wires, hoses, brake lines, body and tires. Tighten evenly FRONT to REAR. BAND CLAMPS require 40-45 FT-LB; no separate original flange spring-bolt or tip-specific numeric torque is supplied.
