aFe 53-10023R is a Quantum intake for specified Ford Transit vans with 3.5L twin-turbo V6 and AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR. It supplies ONE Pro 5R filter with FIVE pre-oiled cotton-gauze layers, XLPE tube and housing. Installation temporarily removes cowl/HVAC-inlet and passenger-side wiper components, which must be restored.
Current exact selected manufacturer page specifies 2016-2026 Transit 150/250/350/350HD with 3.5L twin-turbo V6; own manual states 2016-2020 and AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR ONLY. Exact selected-part retailer tables support later named ranges through 2026, except Transit-150 XL/XLT through 2023. Original 2015 starts remain qualified: exact retailer data and manufacturer dyno vehicle both identify 2015, conflicting with current 2016 headline. Missing Transit-350 Base is restored from exact selected-part table. Confirm actual twin-turbo engine, temperature sensor, vacuum connection and housing interface. Original 2009 Silverado LTZ row has exact selected-part positive retailer listings but conflicts with manufacturer Transit application; it remains an unresolved SOURCE CONFLICT requiring exact engine/housing confirmation, not established physical compatibility. Do not order that disputed application on collection placement alone. No new Chevrolet coverage is inferred.

Verify aFe 53-10023R. Read all twenty pages and figures A-K. Work cool. Remove THREE firewall nuts supporting HVAC air inlet with 10mm deep socket. Remove TWO cowl-corner screw clips, corner plastic and clip underneath. Remove passenger-side wiper-arm nut with 15mm socket and lift wiper arm. Remove top-right HVAC-inlet screw clip, lift cowl and remove TWO T25 screws retaining inlet. Disconnect temperature sensor, loosen intake-duct clamps with 7mm driver, disconnect vacuum hose and remove duct. Detach original scoop and wiring retainers, release housing-cover clips and remove cover/filter; lift housing off original mounting grommets. Transfer original temperature sensor from cover: quarter-turn COUNTERCLOCKWISE to remove; install supplied grommet/fitting and quarter-turn CLOCKWISE to lock sensor. Fit brass vacuum fitting using 1/2-inch open wrench. Seat new housing pins fully in original mounting grommets and secure ORIGINAL scoop in housing front opening. Attach selected filter with FOUR captive screws using #3 Phillips driver. Fit bellows to ROUND tube side with #072 clamp; #080 goes on larger filter side.
