Slide the filter into the Quantum housing and tighten its four captive screws for the filter-to-housing seal. The coupling clamps connect the tube and filter flange; they do not replace those four retaining screws.

Transfer the original IAT sensor into the supplied new grommet and adapter. Seat the adapter bead fully, then turn the sensor clockwise until its tab clicks. Transfer original tube and housing mounting grommets with their metal sleeves; return underside mounting grommets to the vehicle bracket if displaced. Reuse all three mounting screws.

Install the supplied brass nipple and join the new 13-inch silicone hose to the plastic CCV vacuum-generator fitting. Secure the fitting with its push retainer, then lock BOTH original vent lines fully onto the fitting. This differs from the 3.6L kit’s single aluminum vent connection.

Two size-048, one size-072 and one size-080 clamps are in the exact BOM, for FOUR total. Earlier steps show both couplings with two clamps each, although the final line says three. Check all four installed connections; no numerical torque is stated.

At about 2,700 rpm the plotted values differ by 9.67 hp and 18.70 lb-ft; separate run maxima differ by 1.63 hp and 10.83 lb-ft. Installation Instructions

Verify aFe 53-10019R. Work on a cool engine and retain original parts. Disconnect the negative battery terminal as directed. Remove the three factory intake mounting screws and loosen the two original tube clamps. Disconnect both vent lines from the vacuum generator using the grey clips and disconnect the IAT sensor. Free the IAT harness clip. Remove the original intake tube, then lift the original housing straight up. If its underside mounting grommets come away with it, return them to the vehicle bracket. Repair displaced harness or hose attaching clips as illustrated. Transfer the original tube mounting grommets and metal sleeves to the new tube. Install the supplied brass barbed nipple, join the new 13-inch silicone hose between that nipple and the plastic CCV vacuum-generator fitting, and secure the CCV fitting with the supplied push retainer. Seat the new rubber IAT grommet and sensor adapter fully so the adapter bead cannot pop free. Lift the original IAT locking tab, turn the sensor one-quarter turn counterclockwise to remove it, then install it in the adapter and turn clockwise until the tab clicks. Transfer the original housing mounting grommet and metal sleeve into the new housing. Slide the selected filter into the housing and tighten all FOUR filter-retaining screws. Seat the housing pegs fully in the original bracket grommets and use one retained screw at the fender.
