Installation Instructions

Verify aFe 53-10005D. Read all sixteen physical pages and figures A-I. Work cool and disconnect negative battery terminal. Unplug MAF, loosen original tube clamps, remove tube and pull original airbox upward to release retaining plug. Install selected filter in new housing with FOUR captive screws using #3 Phillips driver; put supplied filter-adaptor coupling on filter. Transfer original bottom RETAINING PLUG to new housing and apply 26-inch, 7/16-inch trim at housing opening. On mounting plate, move FRONT-RIGHT mounting grommet to LEFT hole as figure D shows, then push housing into original mounting grommets. Transfer original filter minder AND original grommet to separate elbow, OR close port with supplied tabbed plug if omitting minder; do not leave port open. Put #088 clamp on elbow SLOTTED/CUT end and insert elbow into filter adaptor; align but leave loose. Fit bellows to elbow with first #080 clamp. Fit hump at turbo with first #072 clamp; other #072 secures hump tube end and second #080 secures bellows main-tube end. Transfer original MAF with TWO supplied M4 Torx screws, length not stated.
