Installation Instructions

1. Confirm aFe 49-43117-B against the exact vehicle and installed equipment. Inventory the actual components and follow the selected manufacturer instructions and current vehicle service requirements.
2. Read the complete selected guide, confirm the exact gas engine-year, actual cab, bed and wheelbase, and inventory the selected packing list. Crew Cab/Short Bed with 160-inch wheelbase ONLY. Allow the exhaust to cool; professionally support the vehicle at specified support points and independently support the factory exhaust. Leave all joints loose until the entire new system is installed.
3. Remove the factory axle-back up to the first clamp, then the remaining factory cat-back up to the factory Y-pipe flanged joint and slip joint. Retain the factory slip clamp and original rubber isolation mounts.
4. Install the selected driver/passenger front pipes using the original slip clamp on one connection and the two supplied M10 screws at the flanged connection. Engage the original isolation mounts.
5. Install the selected muffler with two 3-inch bands, then both Helmholtz chamber assemblies with two more bands. Rotate both chambers for clearance to the frame and driveline.
6. Install both tailpipes with the remaining two bands, engage original mounts and connect the tailpipes using the supplied M8 screws, washers and nuts. Install the two selected tips and adjust their positions.
7. Align the complete system with safe clearance from wires, hoses, brake lines, body parts and tires. No fixed clearance dimension is printed.
