Installation Instructions

3. Remove the original rear muffler and mid-pipe working rear to front. Preserve the rubber isolation mounts; the guide permits lubrication to help removal and installation. Keep new joints loose until fully assembled.
4. Install the supplied hanger bracket with the original rubber isolation mount as shown. Use only the appropriate one of the two mid-pipe hangers for the actual engine and mounting position. The guide does not assign a hanger to each engine; obtain aFe clarification if uncertain.
5. Connect the mid-pipe to the factory Y-pipe with one supplied 2.5-inch band. Add the muffler assembly with the second 2.5-inch band and place its hanger in the original rubber mount.
