Installation Overview
- Warm the engine to operating temperature to thin the fluid, then safely lift and support the vehicle
- Place a drain pan beneath the factory engine oil pan and remove the drain plug to drain completely
- Remove the factory engine oil pan bolts in a cross pattern and lower the pan carefully
- Clean all mating surfaces on the block and pan rails with a gasket scraper and solvent
- Install the supplied gasket or apply RTV sealant as directed in the instructions
- Lift the new 46-00001 into position and hand-thread all bolts before tightening
- Torque all pan bolts in a cross pattern to factory specification, never over-torque
