Installation Instructions
- Read the exact manufacturer instructions for 46-38006, verify the actual engine, intake, hardware and applicable emissions scope before removal.
- Remove the throttle-body trim cover and both supports, remove the air-cleaner duct, and unbolt applicable throttle linkage.
- Remove the two nuts and two bolts at the body, remove the body, and remove the two upper manifold studs. Keep original components for return to stock.
- Leave the original plenum gasket seated. Fit the spacer engraved side toward the body and add the new supplied gasket. Use the exact model-appropriate supplied longer bolts and washers; tighten the assembly to 15 ft-lb.
- The manual says 2003–2004 models without a throttle cable skip the linkage step. On applicable cable installations, fit the extender plate with original nuts, backing the studs out 2–4 turns only as instructed; secure linkage with supplied hardware and tighten its bolts to 10 ft-lb.
- Fit the one-inch driver-side cover-support extender and its longer bolt/washer where applicable, restore the other support, duct and trim cover. Verify free linkage operation, exact production scope and required EO label.
