Own step 9 connects mid-pipe to TAKEDA AXLE-BACK with three supplied nut/bolt pairs. Separate 49-36607 is not included. A universal fit to every original or aftermarket rear exhaust is not established.

Transfer original rubber hanger mounts. Remove and RESTORE BOTH front and rear floor braces using all EIGHT original bolts. Retain original converter-flange nuts for front connection.

Installation Instructions

Verify aFe 49-36608.

1. Read own April 2016 one-page manual and all 13 steps/diagram. Confirm V6 coupe and actual Takeda axle-back rear interface. Cool exhaust, wear eye/hand protection and support vehicle/exhaust independently at approved points.
2. Remove EIGHT original bolts securing FRONT AND REAR FLOOR BRACES; retain braces/bolts. Remove SIX original nuts at converter and muffler-pipe connections. Disengage original mid-pipe rubber hanger, remove old mid-pipe and transfer its rubber mount to new system.
3. Join new mid-pipe section to new resonator section with ONE supplied 2.5-inch band clamp; keep loose. Install new resonator/mid-pipe assembly at catalytic converter using original front-flange nuts and tighten.
4. At rear, use THREE supplied 10 mm nuts and THREE supplied 10 mm bolts to connect new mid-pipe to TAKEDA AXLE-BACK EXHAUST, explicitly named by own step 9. Separately sold 49-36607 is not included. No universal original-muffler interface or new gasket is established.
5. Tighten supplied 2.5-inch band. RESTORE BOTH FRONT AND REAR FLOOR BRACES with all EIGHT original bolts. Recheck work and lower vehicle. No numeric torque or mileage re-tighten interval is printed.
6. Current primary says no modifications necessary; own manual supplies no cutting, drilling, battery-disconnection, sensor-wiring, coding, valve-transfer or installation welding procedure. Brief initial manufacturing-grease smoke is noted.
