aFe 56-10021D is the Takeda Stage-2 open-element intake for Hyundai Veloster N 2019–2022 2.0L turbo. One Pro DRY S filter locks into an open XLPE housing with an incorporated front scoop and top seal trim. The XLPE tube uses two different aluminum NPT hose fittings, and the original three housing grommets, sleeves and mounting bolts transfer.
Both current exact manufacturer pages and shared 20-page manual specify Veloster N 2019–2022 2.0L turbo. Each selected-part named table identifies Base through 2022, supporting the shown extension from the former 2019–2021 bounds. Base is the actual named trim here. No regular Veloster, 1.6T Turbo, Elantra N or Kona N coverage is inferred from the optional inlet being shared.

Reuse all three original housing grommets and sleeves and all three mounting bolts, with one bolt accessed inside the housing. Replace both original inlet rivets with the supplied Christmas-tree clips. Restore the engine cover after reconnecting the original hoses and retained clamps. The exact manual instructs disconnecting the negative battery terminal, but does not transfer a MAF sensor or supply a new sensor. Its procedure calls for a filter-flange clamp without listing a separate service code/count in the BOM; confirm actual supplied hardware rather than inventing a part number. This open Stage-2 housing uses a top seal and has no Momentum window or auxiliary-inlet plug. Optional inlet, filter guard and cleaning supplies are separate.

Does this media need oil?No. Three-layer synthetic Pro DRY S is washable/reusable without filter oil.
Is this the enclosed Momentum housing?No. This Stage-2 kit has an open XLPE housing, front scoop and 27.5-inch top seal trim.
Where do the threaded fittings go?The larger 11 mm/four-rib fitting goes on the side, and the smaller 10 mm/three-rib fitting goes on top. The NPT hex-to-tube gap is normal.
How many original mounts and bolts transfer?All three original housing grommets/sleeves and all three mounting bolts, including one accessed inside the new housing.
Are the original inlet rivets reused?No. The exact kit supplies two replacement Christmas-tree retainer clips.
Does the engine cover stay off?No. Remove it for access and reinstall it after reconnecting the hoses. The manual also directs negative battery disconnection before work.
What torque and recheck interval apply?No numeric torque is supplied. Recheck screws, clamps and connectors after 100–200 miles.
Verify aFe 56-10021D. Work on a cool engine and disconnect the negative battery terminal as directed. Pull up the engine cover, release the larger hose clamp and airbox tube clamp, then release both smaller hose clamps near the firewall. Loosen the turbo-inlet clamp and remove the original tube. Unlock and remove both inlet rivets, retain all three housing bolts and lift out the housing/inlet assembly. Transfer all three original grommets and sleeves into the new housing, then fit its 27.5-inch top seal. Install the housing with all three original bolts, including the interior bolt, and attach the inlet using the two new Christmas-tree clips. Lock the selected filter into its housing interface and leave its flange clamp loose. Install the larger four-rib fitting on the tube side and smaller three-rib fitting on top with a 16 mm tool; the NPT gap is normal. Fit the smaller coupling end on the turbo inlet and keep the supplied clamps loose for alignment. Insert the tube into the coupling and filter, align and tighten all connections. Reconnect the smaller and larger original hoses with their retained clamps, restore the engine cover and complete the battery reconnection per the vehicle procedure. Recheck screws, clamps and connectors after 100–200 miles. No numeric torque is supplied.
The actual Stage-2 bench chart compares 260 CFM Pro DRY S, 30% above stock 200 CFM at 7 inches H2O. The own-media Dynojet chart uses SAE correction and smoothing 5 but does not expose complete vehicle/run dates, configuration or weather notes in the supplied image; those conditions are not borrowed from another kit. Marked readings at 6,157 rpm show 243.75 versus 234.60 hp and 207.95 versus 200.14 lb-ft, differences of 9.15 hp and 7.81 lb-ft. Independent maximum power differs by 7.01 hp, while maximum torque is 262.68 versus 266.98 lb-ft, a decrease of 4.30 lb-ft. Positive marked-curve gains do not establish a higher independent torque peak or guaranteed gains on every car. Both exact manufacturer pages and manual state this product is not CARB exempt and unavailable for purchase in California or use on California-registered vehicles.
