Installation Instructions

Verify aFe 49-32084-B.

1. Read BOTH own September 2026 manual pages and all 21 steps/diagram. Inspect shipping condition, cool exhaust, wear eye/hand protection and support vehicle and exhaust independently at approved jack/stand points. Lay out pipes and leave joints loose until alignment.
2. To remove ORIGINAL exhaust WITHOUT CUTTING, own step 5 REQUIRES REMOVING SPARE TIRE AND HEAT SHIELD. Retain both and their hardware. Manual does not print a later restoration step; restore retained protective/vehicle equipment according to original vehicle instructions and verify clearances before returning vehicle to service.
3. Loosen clamps securing original tailpipes, remove tailpipes/tips, then loosen TWO clamps securing original mufflers to original X-pipe and remove mufflers. Remove FOUR original nuts at converter flanges and remove original X-pipe. Preserve ORIGINAL FLANGE GASKETS.
4. Slide first supplied 3-inch band onto new X-pipe and join new front pipe to X-pipe. Attach front-pipe/X-pipe combination to ORIGINAL catalytic converters using supplied FOUR M10 x 1.25 nuts, FOUR M10 x 1.25 x 35 mm bolts and ORIGINAL GASKETS. No new gasket is itemized.
5. Join H-pipe to X-pipe with supplied clamps and engage H-pipe hangers in ORIGINAL rubber isolators. Install LEFT and RIGHT over-axle pipes with supplied clamps, then selected LEFT and RIGHT black-tip tailpipe assemblies using remaining supplied clamps. Total supplied band count is SEVEN.
6. Align system and ensure safe clearance from wires, hoses, brake lines, body, tires and retained vehicle equipment. Tighten evenly FRONT to REAR. BAND CLAMPS require 40-45 FT-LB; no separate converter-flange or spare/heat-shield fixing torque is printed.
7. Start engine and inspect/repair leaks, lower vehicle and re-tighten all clamps/hardware after 50-100 miles. Current primary specifies no cutting/modifications, with original-system no-cut removal dependent on spare/heat-shield removal above. Own procedure supplies no battery-disconnection, sensor-wiring, valve-transfer, coding, drilling or installation welding step.
