Air Lift Company has been manufacturing air suspension products for over 70 years, building air springs, load assist kits, and complete air management systems for passenger vehicles, trucks, motorhomes, and commercial applications. The Air Lift 1000 series is the company's most versatile load-assist air spring line, designed for coil-spring vehicles across a wide range of makes and models where improved towing, hauling, and load management capability is desired.
The ALF60915 requires coil springs with a minimum inside diameter of 4.5 inches and a maximum inside length of 7.5 inches. To check, unload your vehicle, allow it to return to normal ride height, and measure the inside diameter and inside height of your coil springs. If your measurements fall within these dimensions, the ALF60915 is your correct Air Lift 1000 universal kit. Air Lift provides a sizing chart at airliftcompany.com to help match measurements to the correct kit number.
What vehicles does the ALF60915 fit?The ALF60915 is a universal kit that fits any coil-spring vehicle whose springs fall within the 4.5 inch minimum inside diameter and 7.5 inch maximum inside length specifications. This includes a wide range of trucks, SUVs, CUVs, cars, minivans, and motorhomes. Because fitment is based on coil spring measurement rather than vehicle year, make, and model, Air Lift recommends measuring your springs rather than relying on a vehicle application lookup. The kit must be used only with open coil spring suspension designs, not on coilover shock applications.
What PSI should I run in the ALF60915 air springs? The ALF60915 supports air pressure adjustment from 5 to 35 PSI. At 5 PSI, the air springs provide minimal supplemental support and allow the coil springs to function largely as designed. As load increases, increasing pressure provides progressively more support to level the vehicle and resist sag and sway. Most users adjust pressure based on their current load condition, running lower pressure for unloaded driving and higher pressure when towing or hauling. Do not exceed 35 PSI and do not allow the air springs to run at 0 PSI, as the spring requires minimum pressure to maintain its shape and seal integrity.
Does the ALF60915 replace the factory coil springs? No. The ALF60915 installs inside the existing factory coil springs, not in place of them. The factory coil springs remain installed and the Air Lift 1000 air spring sits inside the coil, adding supplemental air-adjustable support on top of the factory spring rate. The factory springs handle the base ride quality while the air spring provides the additional load-leveling capacity when needed.
Does the ALF60915 require an onboard air compressor? No air compressor is included with the ALF60915 kit. The air springs are inflated and deflated through the included Schrader valves using a standard air compressor, portable inflator, or tire inflator. Air Lift offers separate onboard compressor systems (WorkhorseHD, LoadController, etc.) that can be integrated for automatic pressure management, but the basic kit is designed to be inflated manually as needed. Each spring has an individual Schrader valve for independent adjustment.
Is the ALF60915 covered by a warranty?Yes. The ALF60915 is covered by Air Lift's Limited Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects, with no mileage restriction. Air Lift also offers a 60-Day Ride Satisfaction Guarantee, which allows customers to return the product if they are not satisfied with the performance improvement. Review Air Lift's warranty terms at airliftcompany.com for full details and claim procedures.
Can the ALF60915 be used on a coilover suspension? No. The ALF60915 and all Air Lift 1000 universal kits are designed specifically for open coil spring suspensions, not coilovers. Coilover systems use a combined shock absorber and spring assembly where the spring wraps around the shock body. The Air Lift 1000 spring cannot be installed in a coilover assembly and is not appropriate for that application.
How does the ALF60915 affect my ride quality when unloaded? When the ALF60915 is inflated to the minimum recommended 5 PSI with no load on the vehicle, most users report minimal change to normal ride quality compared to the factory coil spring alone. The air spring adds a slight supplemental spring rate at low pressure but does not stiffen the ride noticeably under light-load conditions. For best results, deflate the air springs close to minimum pressure during normal unloaded driving and reinflate when hauling or towing.
Air Lift has been engineering air spring suspension systems since 1949, holding the original patent on rubber air springs from 1950 and building a reputation for load support products that make towing, hauling, and heavy cargo management safer and more controllable. With fitment for over 540 vehicles, Air Lift is the go-to source for pickup truck, RV, SUV, and van owners who need to eliminate sag, improve stability, and maintain level ride height under load.Popular UpgradesAir helper spring kits are the most common Air Lift product, designed to install over existing rear coil or leaf springs to add variable load support without replacing the factory suspension. On-board compressor systems allow real-time air pressure adjustment from the cab, making it easy to dial in support for different load conditions. No-drill installation kits simplify the process for truck and SUV owners who want the system up quickly without cutting or modifying the frame. Will Air Lift springs affect my facto...

Air suspension upgrades give you control over ride height, load capacity, and driving comfort that coilover or stock springs simply cannot match. Whether you are building a towing rig, a lowered street truck, or an off-road SUV, the right air suspension system transforms how your vehicle performs on and off the pavement. Popular Upgrades Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 and 7500XL helper spring kits are the go-to choice for trucks and SUVs that haul or tow heavy loads. For performance and stance applications, Air Lift Performance kits and Ridetech ShockWave systems deliver full adjustability from daily driving to track use. What is the difference between air helper springs and a full air suspension kit? Air helper springs bolt alongside your existing suspension to add load support and prevent sag when towing or hauling. A full air suspension kit replaces the factory struts or shocks entirely, giving you adjustable ride height and a complete air management system for more dramatic handling a...
