The Air Lift 88377 LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate rear air spring kit adds up to 5,000 pounds of load leveling support to a 2021-2024 Ram 1500 TRX or a 2025-2026 Ram 1500 RHO in 4WD form. Air Spring Cradles let each air spring separate from the lower bracket so the long travel rear suspension keeps its full extension off road, while the internal jounce bumper inside the bellows absorbs impacts and lets the springs be run safely at zero pressure. The springs adjust from 5 to 100 PSI through Schrader valves, so you can raise pressure for a loaded bed or a trailer tongue and drop it back down for an empty truck.

A heat shield kit clamps to the passenger side exhaust pipe and a thermal sleeve slides over the end of the air line. Air Lift also asks for at least 6 inches of clearance between the air lines and the exhaust system.

Most owners finish in an afternoon with a hoist or floor jack, safety stands, standard and metric sockets and wrenches, a torque wrench, and a hose cutter. A compressed air source is needed to inflate and leak test the springs.

Installation Instructions

1. Raise the rear of the truck, support the frame on safety stands, and let the axle hang so the rear springs are fully extended
2. Assemble each lower bracket with its clamp bar carriage bolts, then bolt an air spring cradle onto each lower bracket and torque the cradle bolts to 16 lb ft
3. Set the driver side and passenger side lower assemblies over the axle with the cradles facing outward toward the tires and leave the clamp bars loose
4. Thread a straight air fitting into each air spring, add a roll plate and the correct upper bracket, and torque those bolts to 16 lb ft
5. Clamp the heat shield around the passenger side exhaust pipe in the location shown in the installation guide
6. Lift each air spring assembly into place, pass the frame bolt from inside the frame through the upper bracket, and start the lock nut
7. Lower the truck until each air spring centers in its cradle, then torque the clamp bar lock nuts to 16 lb ft
8. Route the air lines away from the exhaust with at least 6 inches of clearance, fit the thermal sleeve, and install the Schrader valves in your chosen locations
9. Lower the truck fully, inflate to 10 PSI, and torque both upper bracket bolts to 49 lb ft
10. Inflate to 40-60 PSI and check for at least 1/2 inch of clearance around each spring, then leak test every connection with soapy water
11. Recheck all fastener torque after 500 miles and check air pressure weekly
