Installation Instructions
- Allow the vehicle to cool completely before beginning. Exhaust components retain extreme heat after operation.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a lift or jack stands to provide full underside access.
- Spray penetrating lubricant on all factory muffler clamp and flange hardware. Allow several minutes to soak.
- Loosen and remove the factory muffler assembly clamps, flanges and rubber hanger mounts. Retain OEM hardware.
- Disconnect the factory exhaust valve actuator wiring harness if present before removing the muffler.
- Remove the factory muffler assembly from the vehicle.
- Install the Akrapovic link pipe with resonance chamber onto the factory mid-pipe junction and secure with the provided clamps.
- Slide the Akrapovic S-TY/T/1H titanium muffler onto the link pipe and position the rubber hangers on the factory mounting points.
- Connect the exhaust valve actuator to the OEM harness connector per the Akrapovic instructions.
- Install the titanium tail pipe set onto the muffler outlets.
- Start the engine and inspect all connections for exhaust leaks. Retighten any hardware as needed.
- Perform a road test and re-inspect all connections after the first complete heat cycle.
